Lets-a-go! The Soundtrack to Nerdy Weddings Has Arrived!

We’ve seen so many couples hire arcades and interactive experiences and theme their weddings. We are so here for it! We would like to introduce you to The Funky Kong’s, a video game jazz, funk and fusion band from Belfast who have rejected all the Wonderwall, Love Story and Discoland requests since 2025 to offer you 100% pure video game soundtracks. We’re talking Animal Crossing, Bob-Omb Battlefield, Rosalina In The Observatory, Pokémon and more!

The Band not only offers video game jazz and funk but also a completely unique interactive experience, through their Mario Kart with a Live Band show. That’s right, you and your guests play the game while the band plays the iconic music from the soundtrack, oh, you picked up a Star power-up? The band switches to the star-theme and back! Placing competition at the heart of every video game based wedding. The band is also working on other games, super smash bros and Wii Sports to name a couple…

So why video game music? We grew up with video games! These soundtracks are rich with music and genres, jazz has always taken popular music of the times and arranged it into a unique style. We’re just doing that with video game soundtracks. We may also be swayed by some lush anime soundtracks, looking at you Studio Ghibli! And we really want to offer couples music that’s completely different to any other wedding.
